A Thoughtful, Seasonal Approach to Home Baking

Welcome to my virtual bookshop! Here you'll find my carefully curated cookbooks and zines rooted in the seasons and written for the way we live today. These recipes honor the flavors many of us grew up with—fruit-forward desserts, simple cakes, rustic puddings—while embracing a thoughtful, sustainable approach to baking. I value local ingredients, practical methods, and the understanding that cooking is an act of care. These dishes feel like home—grounded, generous, and fostering deep connection.

I'm an award-winning author, photographer, trained chef, recipe-developer, and cooking instructor. My passion is writing timeless cookbooks and digital zines that inspire and educate home cooks about the value of baking with fresh, seasonal ingredients. After working in the test kitchen of Cook's Illustrated magazine and the PBS television show America's Test Kitchen, I went on to write four books, as well as publish articles in Fine Cooking, Yankee Magazine, Boston Globe, Boston magazine, Cape Cod Life, and Serious Eats. I speak frequently at public libraries about the benefits of eating locally, and moonlight as a cheesemonger at Formaggio Kitchen in Boston.
